Desert Search For Autry Horse’s Double

PIONEERTOWN (UP) – A posse of airplanes, sheriff’s officers and cowboys is scouring the desert near Pioneertown for the double of actor Gene Autry’s horse Champion.

The stunt horse escaped from a movie scene wearing the cowboy star’s saddle and bridle. Autry has offered what he calls a suitable reward for its return.
