nly the first fur of snow fly o’er ol’ Mane in Pioneertown could get Red Dog Jonesy this week to admit that “fall’s h’yar” and winter “ain’t fur” away.

Mumbling at threatening skies and tufts of dust falling around his boot heels, the Red Dog boss stomped up the veranda steps and never looked left not right until he reached the deep freeze in the kitchen.
