Supervisors To Hear Road Plea

Supervisors To Hear Road Plea

Representatives of all the desert and mountain districts concerned in the promotion of the so called “back-way” project will meet Tuesday 10a.m., with county board of supervisors in San Bernardino, to present to the board the proposed project and present argument in solicitation of the boards possible approval.

Delegates from Barstow, Lucerbe Valley, Pioneertown, Big Bear Valley and many other points as well as public at large will be present since the move is considered one of great importance, and bringing the situation to the county board of supervisors represents what is thought to be a highly valuable opportunity.

Activity on part of the Lucerne Valley Chamber of Commerce and other organizations is largely responsible for the meeting.

Jim Sanford from Big Bear Lake will attend this meeting, after which he will go on to Los Angeles to attend a meeting of the state chamber, which is likewise interested in a road construction through recreation areas.
