The festival will feature an art show, chuckwagon dinner, Western dancing, mini-rodeo, several Western melodramas and related Western activities for artists, art patrons, families and the general public.

The weekend is being sponsored by Artists of the Southwest and the Rotary Club of Yucca Valley, and serves as a fund-raiser for the many charities supported by the local Rotary Club. Raynolds Johnson and Lettye Edens are co-chairing the event.

There will be a reception for participating artists at the Edens’ residence Sept. 30, showcasing the art show, dinner, dancing, stage plays, door prizes and auction.

More than 200 invitations have been sent to noted artists who work in the Western genre.
