Gene Autry’s 18th picture is “Silver Canyon,” a post-Civil War Western, which will be filmed near Pioneertown, California, beginning March 12. The producer is Armand Schaefer, who wrote and produced Aurty’s firm movie “Tumblin’ Tumbleweeds,” in 1934.
