Out-of-Town Venture Prompts Resignation Of Optimist Member

The Wilmington Optimist Club announced today that Bill Williams of the Williams Real Estate firm has resigned from the organization.

Williams sent a letter to the club which was read at their Wednesday noon meeting in the Colonial Room of the First Cabin. The real estate man said in the letter he is resigning to devote his time to his new business interest in Pioneertown.

Boris Willie, president of the Torrance Optimists, was at the local group’s Wednesday meeting, and he brought Todd Long as his guest. J.H. Cooper, local Goodrich manager, and Orval Wrought, Junior Chamber of Commerce member, were the guests of Chauncey Wells.

Dave Stamper brought Moury Goldner of the California Tabacco Company as his guest.

The local Optimists meet regularly every Wednesday noon in the Colonial Room.
