Restraining Order Issued
On Sale Of Pioneertown

The permanent restraining order has been issued by the San Bernardino County superior court involving the proposed sale of Pioneertown four and $80,000 debt.

The sale was originally scheduled for Dec. 17 but was put off twice by a temporary restraining order, and has now been sent tentatively for Jan. 13, according to J. W. Berry of Security Title Insurance and guaranty Co.

The restraining order was issued at the request of attorneys Daniel J. Cowett and Charles E. Ward in behalf of Pioneer Studio Locations, Inc.

The studio, which has a 25 year lease on the property, asks that its position be cleared up before the 20,000-acre Old West showplace is sold.

Security title holds the trustees deed for a $60,000 loan made in 1946 two Pioneertown directors, who have announced they cannot meet the terms. Interest and other expenses have shoved the total of two $80,000.

Berry indicated the sale will probably be continued until the studio’s position is clarified by the courts.
