TOWN’S DEVELOPMENT PLANS TOLD BY BOARD

Plans for new development, and a new board of directors of the in Pioneertown Corp., was announced yesterday by John Martel, new board secretary and counsel for Pioneertown Corp. The announcement followed the resignation from the board of Bill Murphy, Fletcher Jones and Charles L. Nichols, former officers in the corporation.

Jack Bailey, of "Queen For A Day" fame, also visited Pioneertown last week, as a guest of Lefton. Bailey is interested in starting an “Art Colony” in The Golden Empire. Bailey’s hobby is painting, and he feels The Golden Empire will become an ideal mecca for artists from all parts of the world, he said.

Private Dump Northwest Of Yucca Valley Rejected

The dump was proposed by Golden Empire, Pioneertown Developers, on 160 acres one mile north of Burns Canyon Road five miles southeasterly of its intersection with Mount Springs Road.
